Different Ways to Back up

Backup up your data is something everyone should be doing on a regular basis. Hard drives inside your computer are so unpredictable, there is just no way of knowing when it will fail. What would you do if you lost all your data on your computer today? If you had recent back ups it would not be to big of a problem, but if you did not back up than you would have a problem. Yes I know there are software and professional services that can get your data off the drive but that could be expensive and frustrating. Save yourself the stress and hassle and start backing up your files now! These are the most common
1. CD-R - Probably the cheapest and easiest way to start backing up your files. Blank CD's are so cheap right now especially bought in bulk, most retailers sell 50 packs for about 25 dollars. That works out to be about 5 cents a disc. Cd's have limited amount of space, each disc can only hold about 700MB.
2. DVD-R - Not as cheap as blanks cd's but still fairly cheap. Blank DVD's can hold a lot more data than CD's. Each Dvd can hold 4.7GB of data.
3. Flash drives - also known as thumb drives. Kind of expensive, anything over 1GB start to get a bit pricey. Flash drives are great for small amount of data and they are rewritable.
4. Online - Having copies of your files off-site is very important, that's why online storage is great idea. Do a search for online backup and you should find some services. Some companies even offer free limited space for storage.
5. External hard drive - Many hard drive companies have there own brand of external hard drives available. External hard drives offers huge amount of storage and is good solution for your regular backups.
